With the threat for severe weather over here in Arkansas, get ready for a (mostly) boring forecast update: We will see some lingering rain overnight with light snow mixing in over portions of northwestern Arkansas, but no accumulation is expected.

Lows will be in the 30s and 40s overnight. Cooler weather is expected on Thursday as well with highs in the 40s and 50s. Some lingering rain is possible over the north through the evening hours. While we saw relatively little in the way of severe weather across our area today, folks in the Southeast were not as fortunate.

This is another good reminder of why it’s always worthwhile to be prepared, especially as we near the peak of severe weather season. Our thoughts are with those affected by today’s severe weather.
