A warrant for the arrest of 44-year-old Terry Hammett has been filed in Fulton County after Hammett allegedly accepted payment for a construction project which he failed to complete.

According to the affidavit filed July 18, in February of 2021, Hammett agreed to build a retaining wall for a resident of Fulton County and was initially given $14,000 and an additional $1,000 on a second draw for the job.

In April of last year, Hammett was given an additional $4,000 for materials and brought forms to the location placing some concrete to hold the forms in place but did not return to complete the construction of the retaining wall.

As of July 14 of this year, Hammett had not returned to the job site. 

Hammett has been charged with theft by deception, a class C felony.
