According to a report from the Fulton County Sheriff’s Department, on July 23, during the altercation 43-year-old Marshal Eddy used a hard plastic patio chair to strike his nephew multiple times causing serious physical injury to the victim’s head and body.
The victim was able to escape after entering his uncle’s truck and fleeing.
He was stopped at a local ice cream store where he was treated by first responders. He was flown to Regional 1 in Memphis.
Medical personnel informed law enforcement that the victim’s injuries were life threatening when he arrived at the hospital.
