Charges of rape and sexual assault in the second degree have been filed against 38-year-old Brian Lewis Crawford in Fulton County.
The affidavit in the case has been sealed, however; a warrant for Crawford’s arrest was filed July 6 for Crawford’s arrest.
According to the statues applied to Crawford’s charges, a person commits rape if he or she engages in sexual intercourse or deviate sexual activity with another person who is a minor and the actor is the victim’s guardian, rape is a class Y felony.
Sexual assault in the second degree is defined as a person who commits sexual assault in the second degree if the person being 18 years of age or older engages in sexual contact with another person who is less than 14 years of age, sexual assault in the second degree is a class B felony.
Bond for Crawford was set at $100,000 and he has since bonded out.
