One Mammoth Spring man is facing multiple felony charges in Fulton County after authorities attempted a traffic stop and the driver of the vehicle fled.
According to documents filed Aug. 29 in Fulton County Circuit Court, 62-year-old Dale Lambert was the driver and fled from authorities until nearly losing control of his vehicle on White Rock Lane, at which time he stopped the SUV, exited, and fled on foot.
Despite commands from law enforcement to stop, Lambert fled into a nearby residence, closing and locking the door.
Authorities entered the home and restrained Lambert, escorting him outside.
Lambert had a search waiver on file, and after being placed in a patrol unit, the vehicle he had been driving was searched, yielding a large bottle of promethazine/codeine and a small bag containing a white powdery substance that field-tested positive for methamphetamine.
Inside the residence, which Lambert had listed as his own, authorities found a bag containing a leafy green substance.
One of the occupants of the home stated that the vehicle belonged to her and that she had used methamphetamine a day prior with Lambert.
Lambert has previously been convicted of four or more felonies and is an active parolee He now faces one count each of possession of a controlled substance not meth or cocaine a class B felony; maintaining a drug premises, a class C felony; possession of methamphetamine, a class D felony; fleeing in a motor vehicle, a class D felony; possession of drug paraphernalia a class D felony; possession of marijuana less than four ounces, a class A misdemeanor and an enhancement penalty for being a habitual offender.
Bond for Lambert has been set at $100,000.
