On April 21 the Arkansas Department of Corrections Division of Community Corrections requested the assistance of the Izard County Sheriff’s Office with compliance checks of registered sex offenders in Izard County. Eighteen registered sex offenders were checked during the operation and several were found to be out of compliance and are facing additional charges. Others have possible charges pending.
Timothy Woods, 41, of Franklin has been charged with three counts of failure to comply with registration and reporting requirements, class C felonies, possession of a controlled substance a class D felony and possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor. Bond was set at $15,000.
Timothy Kent, 52, of Texas has been charged with failure to comply with registration and reporting requirements, a class C felony and possession of a firearm by a certain person, a class D felony and as a habitual offender. Bond was set at $15,000.
Donnie Vest, 68, of Melbourne was arrested and on hold for another agency.
Kenneth Ward, 57, of Melbourne was arrested and on hold for another agency.
Larry Wayne Horton, 52, of Oxford was charged with disorderly conduct, two counts of failure to comply with registration and reporting requirements, class C felonies, aggravated assault upon a certified law enforcement officer, a class D felony and being a habitual offender. Bond was set at $25,000.
Cody Lee Stacy, 46,of Pineville was arrested and on hold for another agency.
