The Izard County Extension Homemakers Council wants to extend a thank you to the community of Izard County for coming out to the fairgrounds and supporting the 2021 Izard County Fair. The EHC Council wants to extend a special thank you to every volunteer, sponsor, and all exhibitors whether it be arts and crafts or livestock that made this year’s county fair a special memory for many.

Kelly Russell, Izard County Extension Homemakers Council President said, “The turn out in the arts and craft building was amazing on Friday. Our goal for next year’s fair is to have the building open for more hours during the week so the public can view the hard work of the inside exhibits.”

Elizabeth Daigle, Family and Consumer Science Agent, saw the hard work of the 4-H children, EHC members, and community members as she visited with them about their food preservations, art objects, and the children’s livestock. “The poultry auction is always a fun event for me since my son started raising chickens. During the auction, you never know what the children are going to tell the auctioneer and the public about their poultry.”
