The City of Horseshoe Bend has offered clarification on what items are and are not accepted at the recycling center for those who recycle.
Items accepted include: corrugated card board; plastics #1 and #2; tin cans; aluminum cans; newspapers; magazines; junk mail and plastic bags.
Items not accepted include: flat boxes such as cereal, cracker or soda; plastic #3 through #7; shredded paper; syrofoam; glass; electronics or televisions and tires.
Additionally, volunteers ar eneeded to help staff the recycleing center which his open Mondays from 9 a.m. until 12 noon; Wednesdays from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.
