If you’re in the market for a home, curious about what buying a home entails or just interested in being informed, the upcoming Realtor and Homebuyer Seminar set for May 20 from 10 a.m. until 12 noon at the Hardy Civic Center is the place to be.

According to John Kunkel with Motto Mortgage, one of the co-organizers of the event, this is a great way to become educated and ask questions of professionals who will be in the same place at the same time.

“The housing market continues to ramp up and we are seeing a lot of movement. Along with that, I have been getting some really good interest rates for borrowers. Many may not know where to begin when it comes to buying a home or piece of property,” Kunkel said. “Let’s face it, the process can overwhelm at times. The Realtor and Homebuyer Seminar I am hosting on Saturday from 10 until noon at the Hardy Civic Center is designed to provide valuable information and insights to anyone interested in buying a home, whether it is their first, second, or investment property. This will also be valuable to those looking to build their dream home or purchase a hobby or commercial farm.”

Kunkel said the event will feature a lineup of local speakers familiar with the market who have a combined total of 129 years of experience in real estate, business and finance and more.

“Cathy Johnson, Principal Broker and Owner of United County – Cotham & Co. will be speaking to the benefits and process of working with a realtor, Laura Clute, Principal Broker and Owner of Ozark Gateway Realty will speak to rent vs. buy, DeAnna McGinnes, Executive Broker with C21 Hardy Branch will give an overall market update, and Ron Rhodes will give an update on Cherokee Village,” Kunkel said. “We will also have title companies, appraisers, home inspectors, and insurance agents attending to join in the questions and answers portion at the end. I believe everyone attending will walk away with a very good understanding of the real estate process, best practices, and market update from some of the best in our area.”

If you are unable to attend the upcoming seminar, Kunkel said he intends to host others like it in the future.

“This will be a quarterly program that will be held. This way, for those who might not be ready now, in three months, that could change. So, I want to help as many people as possible reach their dream of homeownership,” Kunkel said.

The seminar is free and open to the public. The community is invited and encouraged to attend.
