A traffic stop landed two men in jail after authorities discovered a multitude of drugs and drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle.
According to the affidavits for warrant of arrest for 45-year-old Pete Ramirez and 43-year-old Michael Henry, filed May 13, on May 9, officers conducted a traffic stop and when the officer approached the vehicle, he could smell a strong odor of marijuana.
After the occupants identified themselves, both were removed from the vehicle.
During a pat down, Ramirez was found to have a loaded .380 magazine in his pocket.
When asked if the men had medical marijuana cards, both stated they did not.
A search of the vehicle yielded a marijuana pipe, two pistols in the center console, a loaded Tarus Spectrum 380 with the serial number removed and a .22 pistol loaded in a holster.
Inside a backpack, a small baggie containing a crystalline substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine, a glass pipe that field tested positive for methamphetamine, small container with dried mushrooms, green leafy substance, bag with multiple syringes and a prescription pill container labeled Hydrocodone, but containing Oxycodone pills was found.
Both men were taken into custody.
Henry is facing charges of simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, class Y felony; possession of methamphetamine with purpose to deliver, class B felony; possession of firearm by certain person, class B felony; possession of psilocybin mushrooms with purpose to deliver, class C felony’ possession of Oxycodone, class C felony and possession of marijuana with purpose to deliver, a class A misdemeanor.
Bond for Henry was set at $100,000.
Rameriz has been charged with simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, class Y felony; possession of methamphetamine with purpose to deliver, class B felony; possession of firearm by certain person, class B felony’ possession of psilocybin mushrooms with purpose to deliver, class C felony; possession of a defaced firearm a class D felony and possession of marijuana with purpose to deliver, a class A misdemeanor.
Bond for Ramirez was set at $100,000.
