Well, it’s another Sunday morning.

He said to them, “Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.” Matthew 17:20 (ESV).

When I was young my grandmother would always tell me to have the faith the size of a mustard seed, I never understood this. I was only eight when she passed away and didn’t totally understand all these Bible verses. As I got older I would learn that the mustard seed is one of the smallest of all seeds about 1 or 2 mm in diameter in size. To give you a better Idea of that size, a mm is .039370 of an inch, and a piece of printer paper is around .004 of an inch thick. So these seeds are the same size as ten to twenty pieces of printer paper thick. Take ten pieces of printer paper and look at the edge. That is the size of this seed. That’s pretty tiny for a seed. Out of this small seed the mustard plant will grow up to three feet tall.

So what is Faith? Faith is believing that the smallest seed could become one of the largest plants in the garden. It is believing that the smallest seed could grow to be able to give a tired red-winged blackbird a resting place, thats huge. So, How big is your faith today? In Luke 17: 6 (ESV) And the Lord said, “If you had faith like a grain of mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.”

If we were overrun by our enemy today, and you were given the choice to deny Christ and live, or stand by his side and die, what would you do? I know, you are saying that is not a fair question. You might be saying, that’s too hard to answer. Then I ask you this in a true, loving, caring manner: Are you sure you have accepted Christ as your LORD and Savior. Are you sure of your Faith in the promise of our LORD?  Christ is faithful to you. So, do we believe that everything that is written in the Bible is true, I mean every last word is fact? Because if you don’t believe this, then you should question yourself and your faith.

This is hard for me today, I love each and every one of you, even if I don’t know you I love you and I can’t stand the thought of ANY of you not being with us at the great calling. This truly hurts my heart to ask these questions but if you are deceiving yourself and think that you can play both sides against the middle, well, you will burn in hell, and your loved ones will miss you.

See, without any doubt without any hesitation I would stand with my lord knowing that death in this life means eternity with my great LORD and Savior and with my loved ones. I chose to serve my LORD as his servant. That’s not until the times get rough and then I would run and hide, that is forever, for eternity. I want consistency now and forever and Jesus is the only way.

See Christ never changes, in Hebrews 13:8 (ESV) it says this “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever,” that is consistency.

Do you have that in your life? If not, do you want it? God wants this for you, He wouldn’t have given us that wonderful instruction book if he didn’t want us to follow it. Consistency; Jesus is and always will be consistent.

So here we are, just you reading this, me writing what God guides me to say, and God. Do you feel small, do you feel alone? You’re not alone, you are never alone. Even when you think no one will know what you are doing, God knows, He sees. So how do we know these things, by our faith.

I believe every word written in the Bible. I have faith that Jesus is the Christ and he will return to judge the living and the dead. I have faith that by our God’s grace, all that truly believe and ask for forgiveness of their sins can be saved from the fires of eternal damnation. See,  Revelation, 20: 15  (ESV) says it pretty clear,  “And if anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.”

So, there we are, I have written this for you today. It’s just you and God now. If you feel you are alone, you are not. If you feel that you are small, remember the mustard seed was small, but it grew. Grow your faith. If you have questioned your faith today and found it lacking and want more, find a Christian, go to the church of your choice and talk to the pastor. Don’t wait, don’t put it off. We do not know when the time of the great calling will be, so be ready.  Know this beyond any doubt, God truly loves each and every one of you and so do I.
