A warrant has been issued for a woman in Fulton County after she allegedly traveled to her ex-boyfriend’s home to damage vehicles and the residence.
According to the affidavit for warrant of arrest filed March 3, on Feb. 12, authorities were dispatched to Whipporwill Road for a report of vehicle damage.
Upon arrival they spoke with James Patterson and Sheilia Curtis who stated the two were celebrating Patterson’s birthday when 45-year-old Haley Montgomery arrived.
Mongomery and Patterson had recently ended their relationship and Montgomery had come to the Patterson residence in a borrowed chevy pickup belonging to Patterson’s mother.
She was there to retrieve her vehicle that was on the property, however; after she arrived, Patterson said Montgomery began to cause damage to both Patterson and Curtis’ vehicles.
Neither Patterson nor Curtis confronted Montgomery but could hear loud noises coming from outside.
Montgomery came to the front door, beating on it with an object, before leaving the property.
Once gone, Curtis and Patterson went outside to discover their vehicles had been damaged. Curtis’ vehicle had numerous scratches, dents, broken tail lights and a broken mirror; Patterson’s vehicle had a shattered driver’s side window and tools from the truck bed scattered about the property.
Patterson also found the porch lights and security lights on his home had been damaged and tool marks on the front door.
Curtis shared text messages with deputies showing Montgomery had messaged threatening to burn down the property.
On Feb. 18, Curtis emailed a deputy an itemized estimate of the damage to her property in the amount of $6,445.61.
As a result, Montgomery has been charged with criminal mischief in the first degree, a class C felony and terroristic threatening, a class A misdemeanor. Once in custody, bond for Montgomery will be set at $5,000.
