The National Weather Service is predicting freezing weather coming this week. Although the NWS has an alert out for Monday and Tuesday nights [Oct. 17-18. 2022], some farmers say it may start Sunday [October 16] nignt in certain areas. Either way, it would be wise to keep an eye on the weather.
The National Weather Service Little Rock office reports “A freeze warning is in effect for portions of northern Arkansas Tuesday morning [overnight October 17-18, 2022]. Temperatures across these areas are expected to fall into the upper 20s/lower 30s.
“A more widespread freeze is expected across the state Wednesday morning.”
Start thinking about what you will need to do to prepare for the winter weather which is close upon us. Pick your garden as your plants will be affected. Drain hoses. You know the drill and we’ll post helpful hints soon.
