The Hardy Fire Department will be hosting a “Fill the Boot” fundraising event May 26th and May 27th to help raise money for the department’s equipment and supplies needs.

Mayor Ethan Barnes, Interim Chief Josh Moore, and the entire Fire Department invite you to support the fire department’s fundraising event from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 26th at the Hardy Stoplight Intersection [intersection of Hwy 63/Business 63 and Hwy 412 at the McDonald’s stoplight], and again on Saturday, May 27th from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Dr. Thompson Park on Main Street in Hardy.

“We’re asking the community to empty their change in the car and donate a few bucks to the fire department,” said Mayor Barnes. “The Hardy Fire Department could use the help to
purchase some much-needed equipment. Our firefighters are on call to you 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. Our department is primarily supported by volunteers, and this is a perfect way to say, ‘thank you’ to those who protect us day in and day out.”

Moore joined Mayor Barnes in saying, “We could really use a hand in making our department more well equipped to provide better services to the community. If you can, we’d really appreciate your financial support at our Fill the Boot coming up soon.”

Can’t make it to the event, but want to help? Contact Hardy City Hall at 870-856-3811 to make a donation.
