A new event will be hosted on the property of the Mission of Hope in Hardy each Saturday from 8:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
According to Holly Melson, assistant administrator at the Mission of Hope, the event will be hosted by Steeplechase Group LLC with proceeds to benefit the Mission of Hope and their “Raise the Roof” fundraiser.
“We have put together a Farm and Flea Market. Now that the Spring River Farmer’s Market has ended its season, we knew local vendors were looking for a place to continue to sell their goods,” Melson said. “So, we have partnered and the proceeds will go to our Raise the Roof fund for the mission.”
Booth spaces will be $10 for a 10 by 10 space, space is limited and pre-registration is highly recommended and may be made by calling 870-856-5511.
“People need to bring their own tables and canopies; we will accept vendors selling wares as long as they are legal, and no animals may be sold at the market. We welcome farmers, artists, crafters, bakers, candlestick makers.. you name it,” Melson said. “We are doing this as a community event. It will be held each Saturday in August and September.”
The proceeds will be used to help make needed repairs to the rood of the building which has recently been purchased by the Mission of Hope located at 3968 Hwy 62/412 in Hardy.
