The Cherokee Village First Baptist Church Puppet Ministry will present “A Not So Silent Night” Dec. 14 at 6:30 p.m. at Town Center in Cherokee Village.

This is a free event and hot chocolate will be served. The community is encouraged to bring a folding chair and blanket.

A live nativity drive thru will take place at the Ravenden Baptist Church Dec. 18 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

The Cradle to the Cross event will feature the story of the life of Jesus and include live displays and animals.

Cherokee Village residents and businesses are gearing up for the annual Cherokee Village Lighting Contest slated for the week of Dec. 14 through Dec. 20. Judging will take place Dec. 17 and winners will be announced Dec. 20.

The Music in the Mountains Christmas show is Dec. 18 in the theater at the Diamond B Mall in Horseshoe Bend. Performances by Bonnie Sweet, Dennis Horton, the Dry County Band, Chuck Young and Jonothan Phillips will take place. Also, the ICC School Choir will also perform. 

The show begins at 6 p.m. with burgers and hotdogs off the grill at 5 p.m. Admission is by donation.
