Here is a list of Easter events we are aware of for 2024.

A Sunrise service will be held March 31 at 6:30 a.m. at the Liberty Hill Church with a potluck breakfast to follow.

Highland Hills Baptist Church will host a Flash Light Egg Hunt March 29, for ages 12 and under beginning at 7:30 p.m. at 2021 US-62 Highland Arkansas across from the China Garden.

The Mt. Zion Southern Baptist Church in Union Ark., located on Hwy 9 will have a sunrise service at 7 a.m. March 31. The public is invited and encouraged to attend

The Cherokee Village Fire Department annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held at Baseheart Station on March 31. The hunt will begin promptly at 2 p.m.and a rain date has been set for April 6. This event is open to children age 12 and under. There will be two groups, one for ages seven to 12 in the open field of the west side of Baseheart road and infants through six-years-old will find eggs hidden throughout the area surrounding the Fire Department’s Pavilion. In addition to candy, there will also be certificates for bikes and Bunny-Money hidden in various eggs. There will also be a photo opportunity with the Easter Bunny. The Cherokee Village Animal Control will also be on site with adoption opportunities.

The Cherokee Village United Methodist Church will hold a Sunrise service March 31 at 7 a.m. at the gazebo on the church property. In the case of bad weather, the service will be moved to the fellowship hall.

The City of Hardy will hold an Easter Special Egg Hunt March 30. There will be over 12,000 eggs, special prizes, candy-filled eggs, photos with the Easter bunny. Children will be divided by age group. Line-up begins at 3 p.m. and the hunt begins promptly at 3:30 p.m. at Loberg Park in Hardy.

The Mt. Pleasant Southern Baptist Church in partnership with the Barren Fork Cumberland Presbyterian Church will hold an Easter Egg Hunt March 30 at 10 a.m. at the Mt. Pleasant old school grounds. There will also be food and fellowship following the hunt.

The Evening Shade Ministerial Alliance and VFW Auxiliary are hosting the Evening Shade Community Easter Egg Hunt Saturday March 30 from 10 a.m. until 12 noon at the Evening Shade Walking Track for children up to 6th grade. There will be four age groups and two prize eggs per group. The community is invited to the hunt and a hot dog lunch during the event.

The Lady’s Auxiliary of Sidney are hosting an Easter Egg Hunt March 30 beginning at 4 p.m. at the Sidney Park for children ages 0 to 12-years-old. Hot dogs, drinks and prizes will be included as part of the event.

The Bended Knee Puppet Ministry will present “He’s Alive” March 31 at 5:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Cherokee Village. All ages are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Abundant Life Church will present Death and Resurrection March 30 at 6 p.m. at 200 Hospital Drive in Cherokee Village, the community is invited and encouraged to attend.

The Highland Elks Lodge #2539 will hold an Easter Egg Hunt March 30 at 11 a.m. at Tohi Nature Trail on Hospital Drive in Cherokee Village. Bikes and other prizes will be given away and free hot dogs will be provided.

The Gospel Music Cowboy Church will hold a Fish Fry and Easter Egg Hunt at 2 p.m. March 30, located ¼ mile down Highway 58 in Williford. The event is free for anyone who would like to attend.

The Peace Lutheran Church will hold an Easter Son-Rise service March 31 at 8 a.m., breakfast provided at 9 a.m. followed by a combined worship service at 10 a.m.

An Easter Egg Scramble will be held March 30 at 2near the ballfields on the backside of the Mammoth Spring State Park. Over 7,000 eggs will be hidden and the Easter Bunny will attend. The annual event is sponsored by the Spring River Lions Club.

The Salem First Baptist Church Children’s Ministry invites area children to an Easter Egg Hunt March 30 at 10 a.m. at the church located on Hwy 62/412 in Salem.

 

The Ash Flat Church of God will hold an Easter Extravaganza March 30 from 12 noon until 2 p.m.at the church located at 124 Arnhart Street in Ash Flat. The egg Hunt will start at 1:30 p.m., three will be free hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, drinks, games and more. Everyone is invited.

The Highland High School Fellowship of Christian Students invite the community to participate in the Tree Days That Changed Everything, led by members of the Highland Fellowship of Christian Students. The purpose of the event is to bring the community together, prior to the service, there will be an Easter Egg Hunt on Rebel Memorial Field at 4:30 p.m., for pre-school through 4th grade students March 27.

The Cave City Easter Run will be held March 30 with the races to begin at 9 a.m. at the Cave City Park. Racers can choose between a 1/2 marathon, 10k, 5k or virtual race. For more information or to register visit runsignup.com/race/AR/Cave City/CaveCityEasterFunRun
