The Cherokee Village Lions Club is gearing up for the 57th Annual Charlie Rice Memorial Classic two-person scramble invitational slated for Aug. 28 and 29 at the Cherokee Village South Course.
Registration for the tournament is now open, however space is limited. The cost to enter the tournament is $350 per team or $175 per person.
The tournament will be limited to the first 72 teams and early entry is advised.
Rental carts are limited, and the cost is $60 to rent a cart.
Tee time takes place at 8:30 a.m. with a shot gun start on Aug. 28, no afternoon tee times.
Proceeds from the tournament will be used to further Lions Club projects including providing glasses to those in need locally, helping fund the World Services for the Blind, helping fund the Mid-South Lions Sigh and Hearing Service, helping local charities and more.
Practice rounds will be available Aug. 23 through Aug. 27 after 10:30 a.m. and for cart service, please contact the pro shop for use of the electrical outlets by calling 870-257-2555.
