We have received reports that customers are receiving text messages claiming to be from “Centennial Bank” asking for verification on a transaction.

Please be aware that these texts are NOT from Centennial Bank.

While the phone number looks to be our Customer Care Center phone number, when you click the link, you are redirected to a different number. When you respond, you will receive a phone call appearing to be from Centennial Bank, but it is NOT.

The message is similar to legitimate fraud prevention text messages that Centennial Bank sends out. The biggest difference is that the Bank will not call you after you respond asking for a full card number.

The people who engineer these attacks can sometimes spoof multiple phone numbers.

Again, please be aware that these texts are NOT from Centennial Bank and you should NOT provide them with your debit card number or PIN should you receive a phone call.

If you feel you have been targeted, please contact our Customer Care Center. They can be reached Monday – Friday 7am to 7pm CT and Saturday 8am to 2pm CT at the following number (888) 372-9788.
