The Cherokee Village Suburban Improvement District (SID) is one step closer to filling the vacant commissioner’s position created earlier this year after long time commissioner Ron Patterson submitted his letter of resignation. Patterson served more than eight years as a commissioner.
According to SID Manager David Webb, interviews were conducted with each of the five applicants earlier this week.
“We have a committee that conducts the interviews and then makes their recommendations to the commission,” Webb said.
After extending the deadline to file until late January, five candidates total were up for consideration.
“Bruce Hadaway; Beverly Moody; Joey Whited; Tim Lee and Tom Trumpy submitted their applications,” Webb said.
On Feb. 15, during the SID’s regular meeting, the candidate to fill the vacancy will likely be selected.
The commission meets the third Monday of each month at 3 p.m. at the Omaha Center in Cherokee Village.
