An Izard County Man is facing a myriad of felony charges including rape, a class Y felony and 15 counts of employing or consenting to the use of a child in a sexual performance a class C felony.
According to documents filed in the Izard County Circuit Court Jan. 10, the charges against Quentin Cahoon, 50 of Violet Hill stemmed from a series of incidents which occurred beginning in July of 2021 and continuing until just before the time of his arrest Jan. 7 of this year.
Although the age of the victim or victims is not stated in documents available on file, charges indicate the victim or victims are under the age of 18 years old.
Cahoon is facing one count of rape, a class Y felony; 15 counts of employing or consenting to the use of a child in sexual performance, a class C felony; sexual indecency with a child, a class D felony and nine counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, a class A misdemeanor.
On Jan. 10, Cahoon appeared before Judge David Miller and a bond of $100,000 was set. In addition to the standard conditions of bond, Judge Miller added an addendum requiring Cahoon to see Judge Miller prior to bonding.
A court date of Jan. 19 has been issued.
