A spaghetti dinner fundraiser will be held May 18 beginning at 5 p.m. at the Hardy Civic Center to benefit Bobby Davis Jr.
According to Mark Gordon, one of the organizers for the event, Davis is a volunteer firefighter for the Hardy Fire Department.
“He is on of our fire fighters and first responders and was in an off duity accident that resulted in him losing a hand except for his thumb,” Gordon said. “We will be holding a benefit for him to help him and and his family recover fro mthe loss of work time and medical expenses.”
The event will include a spaghetti dinner, and live music provided by Under the Influence.
“Tickets will be available in advance for $10 and will include dinner and music. Tickets can be purchased from the Hardy Fire Department. Admission for those who would like to come and enjoy the music but don’t want to eat will still be $10 at the door, this is a funraiser,” Gordon said. “We, at the Hardy Fire Department ask that y’all spread the word and that ALL of our area fine First Responders show up in support of our brother. Those wishing to volunteer help for this event, please contact myself or Chief Josh Moore.”
