More charges have been filed against 45-year-old Anthony Washam who was taken into custody May 9 following a search warrant execution on his residence.
According to the affidavit for warrant of arrest, Washam, who has a lengthy criminal history, now faces felony charges of simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, a class Y felony; possession of meth with purpose to deliver, a class A felony; possession of drug paraphernalia, a class D felony; possession of firearms by certain persons, a class B felony; two counts of possession of a schedule one or two controlled substance, a class D felony; and possession of a schedule four controlled substance, a class A misdemeanor.
The charges come after authorities conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle who told officers they had just dropped off about six and a half ounces of methamphetamine to Washam in Mammoth Spring.
Special agents with the 16th DFT, 3rd DTF, Mammoth Spring Police Department, Fulton County Sheriff’s Department and Sharp County Sheriff’s department traveled to Washam’s residence.
Washam opened the door and was ordered outside. He was compliant and when officers entered the home, a loaded shotgun was found leaning against the inside doorjamb.
A search of the residence yielded more than 25 grams of methamphetamine, two loaded firearms, digital scales, metal spoons covered in methamphetamine residue, syringes, glass smoking pipes, a slew of various pills and a small amount of THC wax.
Washam was placed under arrest and transported to the Fulton County Jail. His bond has been set at $50,000.
