A Cherokee Village woman was killed and two others were injured Monday in Ash Flat in a two vehicle crash.
According to the Arkansas State Police, 93-year-old Phyllis Thompson was the passenger in a 2015 Lincoln driven by 67-year-old Mark Thompson.
The vehicle failed to yield the right of way and attempted to turn onto Highway 412 turning into the path of of a 1999 dodge ram driven by 30-year-old Matthew Melton of Evening Shade.
When the Thompson’s vehicle made the turn into the path of Melton’s vehicle, the passenger side was struck killing Phyllis in the process.
The injured were transported to White River Health in Batesville for treatment of their injuries.
