Lyon College will host the 41st Annual Arkansas Scottish Festival on the college grounds Friday through Sunday, October 8-10, 2021. New this year is the hybrid ScotsFest combining the Arkansas Scottish Festival with the Lyon College Homecoming.

The Arkansas Scottish Festival is has been called one of America’s premier Scottish festivals. It was created in 1979 as the Highland Games. Lyon has prided itself with the celebration of its Scottish heritage and Presbyterian connections. The festival has grown steadily to become “one of the top venues in the South Central United States for pipers, bands, dancers, and athletes,” according the the Arkansas Scottish Festival website. 

“Join us for a weekend full of piping competitions, delicious food, and unique handmade crafts. Gates open early Saturday morning and opening ceremonies will begin at 1 p.m. with a parade of massed bands and clans,” the website encourages.
