A man who failed to comply with sex offender registration requirements is behind bars in Izard County after found being non-compliant with information about his true residence.
According to a report from the Izard County Sheriff’s Department, Deputy Dennis Tiernan began an investigation into the whereabouts of 55-year-old Gregoy Wildin after becoming aware Wildin was likely residing at a home in Horseshoe Bend.
On Nov. 13, Tiernan along with other investigators made contact with Wildin at a residence in Horseshoe Bend and learned he had been residing there for some time, despite reporting to the Fulton County Sheriff’s Department the previous day he resided on Heart Road in Glencoe.
Additionally, it was discovered Wildin had also failed to report access to vehicles which he had not registered.
By law, registered sex offenders must report a change of address within five days of relocating and must report any access to vehicles as well.
As a result, Wildin has been charged with three counts of failure to register as a sex offender or report address change, class C felony and as a habitual offender.
