Hazelle Whited has recently been appointed to the Spring River Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. The announcement was made in the Chamber’s June Newsletter welcoming her to the board.

Whited resides in a Cherokee Village with her husband Joey Whited. In addition to operating a locally owned business, Sharp County Outdoors, Whited also serves as a member of the Sharp County Economic Development team, is a leader in the Create BRIDGES grant process for the region, serves on the board of Comfort Keepers Ministry and more.

“Hazelle is a great addition to our board. She has operated in the non-profit sector in many ways but has a focus on economic development and the knowledge to help businesses thrive, which is exactly what is needed for our area, SRACC President Lauren Siebert said. “We have a great business community and I believe having a strong chamber board, with knowledgeable board members who can help us create and execute new programs to help our membership, is key.”
