Psalm 73:25-28       (Living Bible)
25 Whom have I in heaven but you? And I desire no one on earth as much as you! 26 My health fails; my spirits droop, yet God remains! He is the strength of my heart; he is mine forever!

27 But those refusing to worship God will perish, for he destroys those serving other gods.

28 But as for me, I get as close to him as I can! I have chosen him, and I will tell everyone about the wonderful ways he rescues me.

What is your greatest desire?  There is nothing on earth that we should desire more than God.  Who else do we have?  From the highest of Heaven to the lowest of hell there is none but God.  Who do we really have?  We may fall apart at the seams but our God remains.  Who else do we have?  In God we have our strength.  In God we have our assurance.  In God we have our past, present and our future.  Who else do we have?

But what about those who do not believe or trust in God?  What do they have?  When the difficulties of life come where is there hope?  There is no hope for those who do not trust in God.  Without God in their life they are perishing.  So, who else do we really have but God?  This evil world will fail us.  But there is a God in Heaven (Daniel 2:28)!  And that God is ready to help when we are willing to call upon Him in faith and obedience.  Who else do we have?

Who else do we have but God?  We will get as close to Him as we can.  We have the assurance that our God never fails.  We have the assurance that what God has promised He will do (Romans 4:21).  And we will tell everyone about our God and all that He has done.  God is our refuge and our present help in time of trouble (Psalm 46:1). And we will tell everyone!

I have prayed for you this morning.   I pray that we are aware that we have no one else but our God who is in Heaven.
