Village Pride is gearing up for their annual Roadside Littler Clean-up in Cherokee Village April 5.
According to Jonathan Rhodes with King Rhodes Real Estate and a member of Village Pride, volunteers are needed to clean up the road sides before tourist season begins.
“This is an opportunity for our volunteers throughout the community to come out and pick up litter off the sides of the road. This is the stuff that flies out of peoples trucks or people throw out on the side of the road,” Rhodes said.
Volunteers will meet at 9 a.m. on the King Rhodes parking lot; donuts and coffee will be provided for volunteers who come.
Additionally, bags, vests and gloves will be provided and a light lunch will be served after the cleanup.
“It gives an opportunity to pick up and clean up the village, its such a beautiful place we live,” Rhodes said. “This is an opportunity for us to get some of that litter off the sides of the roads and get the community looking even better.”
The cleanup is part of the 2025 Great Arkansas Cleanup and is registered with the Keep Arkansas Beautiful initiative.
