The University of Arkansas Jazz Orchestra is coming to Salem (Fulton County) on Sunday, October 13. The concert is at 4:00 p.m.and will last one hour and will be held in the Salem Civic Center, 135 Arena Lane, Salem Arkansas.. This is a free concert open to the public.
The University of Arkansas Jazz Combo is a student jazz septet made up of piano, bass, drums, trumpet, alto sax, tenor sax, and trombone. The Jazz Orchestra is the oldest jazz ensemble on the U of A campus. As a big band, the Jazz Orchestra performs standards in the genre and pushes the boundaries of jazz music with new compositions and arrangements, many by the faculty.
