HARDY, AR — In a time when many communities are facing church closures and congregational splits, two local churches are celebrating a rare and encouraging milestone: unity. Fellowship Southern Baptist Church of Hardy has officially merged with First Baptist Church of Hardy, with the merger becoming effective December 1, 2025.

For the past 22 years, First Baptist Church of Hardy has been faithfully shepherded by Bro. Larry Kindrick, who retired on November 30, 2025. In recognition of his decades of dedicated ministry, the congregation honored him with the title of Pastor Emeritus.

With the merger now complete, Bro. Terry Linderman, pastor of Fellowship Southern Baptist Church, will serve as pastor of the united congregation. The newly merged church, which will keep the name First Baptist Church of Hardy, will continue to meet at the First Baptist Church location, conveniently situated next to McDonald’s in Hardy, Arkansas.

Church leaders from both congregations describe this merger as a joyful step forward—an example of cooperation, encouragement, and shared mission at a time when many churches across the nation are struggling. Together, the united church looks toward the future with renewed strength and a deep desire to serve families in Hardy and the surrounding areas.

The church warmly invites the entire community to join them for worship and fellowship. Weekly services are held as follows:

Sunday School: 9:30 a.m.
Worship Service: 10:45 a.m.
Afternoon Bible Study: 1:00 p.m.
Between the morning worship service and afternoon Bible study, everyone is encouraged to bring lunch and enjoy a time of food and fellowship in the church fellowship hall.
Wednesday Evening Bible Study: 6:00 p.m.

Members describe the church as extremely friendly, welcoming, and eager to receive visitors. Whether you are looking for a church home, seeking encouragement, or simply wanting to learn more, the doors are always open.

For more information, please contact Pastor Terry Linderman at (870) 955-0213 or visit during any service time.
