The Townsend Spice & Supply Steak Cookoff will take place August 13, 2022 at Cooper’s Hawk Golf Course, Melbourne Arkansas. This is a Steak Cookoff Association-associated event, so some of the best steak-cooking talents from all over will be competing. If you woould like to compete, sign up at steakcookoffs.com. Entry fees are $150 for the steak competition, and $35 for the Rainbow Trout. Kids porch chop event entry is $25 and is open to kids 4-15 years of age.

Payouts for the different categories are as follows: Steak Payout: First place $2500, second place $1000, third place $750, fourth place $500, fifth place $250 and sixth through tenth places $100. Rainbow Trout: First place $500, second place $300, and third place $200. Kids Payouts: $350, $200 and $150 respectively.
There will be a welcome party with live band for those involved/competing from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 12, 2022. Saturday’s agenda includes a Cooks’ Meeting at 10 a.m. Kids Turn In from 12 noon to 12:15 p.m., Trout Turn In 1 p.m. to 1:15 p.m., and Steak Turn In 2 p.m.-2:30 p.m. Awards will be presented at 3:30 p.m.
