TNT traveled to Springdale, Arkansas, Dec. 4 and 5th to participate in the Santa Invitational hosted by Williams Center Gymnastics. Over the weekend there were over 500 gymnasts competing and TNT gymnastics came home with a team championship for the XCEL Bronze team and a third place award for the XCEL Silver team with several outstanding individual performances. They also received the Christmas Spirit award for their Christmas-themed leotards.
TNT had 3 individuals earn All-Around Championships. Silver team member Bella Cox swept every event becoming the Vault, Bars, Beam and Floor Champion. Bronze team member Maelyn Reiter was a Bar, Beam and Floor Champion. Bronze team member Danielle Vanoven earned a Vault and Floor Championship. Danielle also had the highest All-Around score out of all 500 participants!
Two team members earned second place All-Around awards; Tessa Hogue and Jordyn Cain. Bronze member Tessa was also the Bars Champion, while Jordyn, a Silver team member took second place on the floor. Three team members earned third place in the All-Around competition. Silver team member Rhea Oxford was a bars champion, Bronze team member Isabella Bartow tied for the Vault Championship, and Bronze team member Addy Schindler placed 2nd on Bars. Bronze team member Lily Liscomb was a Floor champion and placed fifth All-Around. Bronze team member Layla Doherty Placed fifth All-Around and Silver team member Bailee Hill placed eighth All-Around.
Coaches Todd and Tina Conforth and the 11 member team are showing that the Spring River area has some great gymnasts by competing so strongly with big teams from all over the country. Both teams have already placed 1st in their first competition earlier in November in West Memphis, and will be traveling to Branson, San Antonio, Daytona Beach and other locations in Arkansas this year for competitions.
