This Day in Arkansas Weather History…

Little Rock Records its Earliest Measurable Snowfall, November 2, 1951…

On November 2, 1951, an early-season winter storm brought two to six inches of snow to much of northern and north central Arkansas. Measurable snow fell as far south as Little Rock, where 0.4 inches fell. This remains the earliest measurable snowfall at Little Rock since records were started in 1874.
