The Highland High School Student Council and Hardy Sweet Shop are hosting a Teddy Bear Toss Dec. 19 at the A.L. Hutson Center.
According to Misti Carter, those who wish to participate in the toss can bring a new bear or stuffed animal to the game when the Highland Rebels take on the Forrest City Mustangs. The game begins at 5 p.m. with the toss taking place between 6 p.m and 6:30 p.m.
During the game, those who bring a bear will be given a signal and will then be asked to toss the bears and stuffed animals onto the floor of the gym. The animal which gets closest to the x drawn on the floor will win a $50 gift card.
“All of the stuffed animals will be given to a local child in need for Christmas,” Carter said.
A 10 percent discount is also being offered for those who purchase Bears from the Spring River Bear Factory located inside the Hardy Sweet Shop.
