An Izard County man, 31-year-old Kyle Taylor faces multiple charges in Izard County after allegedly striking his pregnant girlfriend.

According to a report from the Izard County Sheriff’s Department on July 30, officers were dispatched to a residence on Harris Street for a domestic altercation.

When authorities arrived, they spoke with an adult female victim who stated she and Taylor had been together for five years and the domestic altercation started after she accused Taylor of cheating.

Taylor told officers the argument was a blur, however; the adult female told officers the altercation began around 10:20 a.m. and did not cease until officers were contacted.

During the altercation, Taylor allegedly picked up a makeshift spear and threatened the victim.

He then took her by the throat and shoved her against a wall, marks were visible on the victim’s neck.

While the altercation was ensuing, the adult victim yelled for her child at which time Taylor let her go, the then told the child to shut up and threw a clothes hanger at the child face striking the child.

The following day, Investigator Sean Tomlinson attempted to conduct a Post Miranda interview with Taylor who immediately requested a lawyer.

Shortly after, the adult female arrived and stated she was in fear of what Taylor would do to her once released from custody.

She stated Taylor was aware she was pregnant as he had attended the first ultrasound appointment.

Taylor has been charged with one count domestic bettering in the third degree, a class D felony; one count of terroristic threatening, a class D felony and one count of domestic battering in the third degree, a class A misdemeanor.

Bond was set at $20,000 and Taylor has since been released and has been ordered to have no contact with the victim.
