A Tactical Survival Defense Expo will be held at the Fulton County Fairgrounds Dec. 2 from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m. and Dec. 3 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
According to organizer, Cindi Silor, the event will kick off Friday at 2 p.m. with an entry fee of $5 at the door. There is no entry fee for law enforcement with an ID.
“Classes are free and we’re asking that a non-perishable food item be brought to donate to a local food bank. Those who bring a non-perishable food item will be entered in a basket drawing,” Silor said.
On Friday, classes begin at 2:15 p.m. with Homestead Fire Safety and Water Purification/Filter Safety; beginning at 3 p.m. Cory Tyler CAE-AG will teach Gardening Basics 101; at 3:30 MaLinda Mathis CAE-FCS will teach Food Preservation 101 and a demonstration will be held including Apple Butter, Apple Pie Filling and more; beginning at 4:15 Iron Survival Preparedness will be taught.
On both days, the event will feature guns, knives, leather products, ammunition, medical supplies, water storage long-term food from Wise Food, Patriot Foods, Harvest Right for Every Fresh and more.
Vendor displays and classes continue Saturday when the doors open at 9 a.m.
Beginning at 10 a.m., seminars being with the Benefits of Gold and Silver Small Businesses followed by Homestead Fire Safety and Water Purification/Filter Safety at 12 noon. Iron Survival Preparedness will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. followed by What’s in your Medicine Cabinet beginning at 5:15.
