The Ozarka College Friends of the Paul Weaver Library recently partnered with Melbourne’s Manna House Thrift Store to host their annual book sale. Held on Ozarka’s Melbourne campus, the event offered a variety of good quality used books, including arts & crafts, gardening, children’s books, as well as a large selection of paperback fiction. Proceeds from the Book Sale will go towards funding the Ozarka College Friends of the Library scholarship available for Ozarka students.
“We are extremely proud to partner with our local businesses to provide the community the opportunity to promote a love of reading,” said Dan Lindsey, The Friends of the Library Sponsor, and Ozarka Librarian. “Supporting this scholarship is one way here at Ozarka we can make an impact in the lives of our students.”
The Friends of the Paul Weaver Library is a group of area volunteers and library staff who work together to promote the Paul Weaver Library and Ozarka College. The group hosts cultural events such as the Book Sale and Tour D’Art to build awareness of the College and its opportunities, as well as to highlight the creativity of area students and others. The Book Sale is an annual event that is open to the public. For more information about joining the Friends, please contact Dan Lindsey at 870.368.2055, or email: [email protected].
