Strong to severe thunderstorms will develop across a large portion of Arkansas Thursday morning. These storms will further intensify Thursday afternoon across eastern Arkansas. Severe winds, a few tornadoes, and isolated hail will be possible with the highest wind and tornado threat near/east of the Mississippi River.

Showers and thunderstorms will be possible through this afternoon as a low pressure system moves across the state. Any severe storms look to be isolated in nature as the environment lacks the instability needed to fuel these storms.
