I love living in Sharp county and am very excited about announcing my candidacy for Sharp County Judge! Cave City has been my home for 41 years where I have raised 4 children and currently have 5 grandchildren.
I met my wife of 35 years, Paula, at Cave City High school and all of my school age children and grandchildren attend school there as well. I currently serve on the school board and have since 2009.
What I love about the county is the people. When I moved here as a teenager I didn’t know anyone. In a very short period of time I felt like family and couldn’t imagine life anywhere else.
I have been a poultry grower for 30 years now and am keenly aware of the challenges that face not only farmers, but all small business owners and families. I believe that families are the bedrock of our society and need our support and an environment where they can flourish.
We can do this by providing the best services we can with the tax dollars we collect. Also by actively pursuing all grants and industry that are to be found. All the citizens of this county deserve good stewardship of their county funds and assets.
I’m running on the Republican ticket because their platform most aligns with my values.
Some of you may remember me from the time I worked for the Sharp County Conservation District as a water quality technician and a 319 grant administrator.
During that time I got to meet many local farmers and assisted them with farm practices by providing specifications and funding.
I understand that Sharp county is a large county and I’m going to try to meet everyone in it in the next 9 months.
