The Mid-America Chapter of the EMMY Awards announced on Aug. 10 that Mammoth Spring Native Hayden Savage has been nominated for two awards.
Savage had dedicated the last several years to providing high quality journalism to northern Arkansas and Southern Missouri and has received several awards previously however; Savage said the nomination for an EMMY is something he never expected.
“The fact that a kid from a town of under 1,000 people had the potential to win an award as prestigious as an EMMY is beyond my wildest dreams, Savage said.
Savage, along with other co-workers at K8 News in Jonesboro, AR were nominated for an EMMY Award for “Best Evening Newscast” and “News Special.”
“I’m truly humbled by the recognition and incredibly grateful for the opportunity to be nominated for two Emmy awards. These nominations represent the dedication and hard work of the entire team at K8 News,” Savage said.
