A winter weather advisory will remain active in Fulton, Izard, and Sharp counties from 6 a.m. Friday, Mar. 11, thrughout 6 a.m. Saturday, March 12, 2022.

It will turn much colder on Friday behind a strong cold front. By Saturday morning, low temperatures will be in the teens and 20s. Minimum wind chill index values will be in the single digits and teens.

Accumulating snow is in the forecast across much of the state Friday/Friday night. Widespread amounts of one to three inches of accumulation is expected, with two to four inches possible across the Ozark and Ouachita Mountains. Lesser amounts will be possible over southern and eastern Arkansas.
