The National Weather Service is warning of severe storms throughout much of Arkansas and surrounding states. Winds, thunderstroms and tornadoes are possible. Please be weather aware today.
From the National Weather Service: “We’re at the end of a stretch of very active severe weather. Another bout of scattered to widespread severe weather is expected today across the state today, particularly for portions of central and eastern Arkansas”.
A tornado watch has been issued for parts of central and southern Arkansas, eastern Texas, and northwest Louisiana. The watch is valid until 5PM.

In addition to the severe storm threat today, we will also be monitoring non thunderstorm hazards, with strong and gusty southerly gradient winds ahead of the cold front, and the potential for frost across northern and northwestern Arkansas Thursday morning as temps will likely fall into the mid 30s.
