The Second Annual Home and Garden Show is Saturday, April 11 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the Salem Civic Center.

According to event organizer Renee Watts, there will also be a customer appreciation event Friday, April 10th from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. at the same location.

“We are excited to put on these events, Friday night, Mustard Seed Nursery and Landscaping will be holding a customer appreciation,” Watts said. “At that event, we will have, special pricing and giveaways, some plant talks, landscaping talks. We’ve been in business over 10 years, five of those in Salem and we just wanted to do something to thank the community.”

On Saturday, Watts said doors open to the Civic Center at 9 a.m and this year, there is a small entry fee of $1.

“We will have a lot of vendors; kids activities; displays; food truck and this year, the entry fee will be used to help with programs for kids. I’ve gotten some sponsorship again from Bank of Salem. They’re always so supportive of our local community events. FNBC has jumped on the bandwagon with me this year, as well as North Arkansas Electric,” Watts said. “Whatever we can do to enhance the lives of children or help them as they make their journey into adulthood and support them.”

Watts said some prospects for the proceeds include improvements to Preacher Roe Park, starting a scholarship and small projects later this year.

The community is invited and encouraged to attend both events.
