Safe Night Ministries for Domestic Violence Victims Benefit Auction and Chili Supper will be held Oct.23 at 4 p.m. at the Abundant Life Church in Highland.
“Items donated by our community and community businesses will be auctioned first followed by a dessert auction. Homemade cakes, pies, cookies and more,” Karen Bagwell said. “We also welcome you to join us after the auction and supper for a worship service lead by the Abundant Life worship team.”
Bagwell also said Safe Night Ministries has also started a support group for victims of domestic violence and survivors.
“We will be focusing on healing from abusive relationships. Attendees will receive a workbook, Restoring the Wounded Soul. This is a faith-based group is free to attendees,” Bagwell said. “It will be strictly confidential. We are excited to start this support group in our community and look forward to serving you.”
The meetings are held each Thursday from 6 to 7 p.m. starting Oct. 14.
