The Sharp County Veteran Service Organization will host a Sept. 11 memorial service at 11 a.m. on Patriot’s Day at Town Center in Cherokee Village. The public is encouraged to attend.
The Sidney Fire Department will hold a Sept. 11Memorial BBQ and Bingo event Sept. 11 at the Sidney Volunteer Fire Department.
The event will kick off at 4 p.m. with Bingo at 6 p.m.and pitching at 7 p.m. Registration for the pitch tournament begins at 6:30 p.m. and the cost is $20 per team.
Bingo cards will be $6 each or $20 for 4. A free bingo card will be given if a child’s toy is brought to be donated for Arkansas Children’s Hospital. The free card will be given with the purchase of a regular bingo card.
A BBQ plate dinner will be available for purchase for $8 and includes a BBQ sandwich, baked beans, coleslaw and corn on the cob.
