The Osage Water Band, featuring powerhouse vocalist and American Idol alum Lauren Gray, will perform two concerts in the area this week. The band will take the stage on Thursday, October 2, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Town Center Gazebo in Cherokee Village, and again on Saturday, October 4, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Crown Lake Resort & Crown Lake KOA Holiday Center in Horseshoe Bend.
Osage Water is known for a sound that appeals to audiences of all ages, blending soulful blues, toe-tapping country, and classic rock into dynamic performances that keep listeners coming back for more. Based in the Spring River Area of Northeast Arkansas, the band reflects the rich musical tradition of a region that has produced nationally known artists such as Phillip Sweet of Little Big Town, Grammy-winner Ashley McBryde, country legend Johnny Cash, and Arkansas-native Glen Campbell.
At the heart of Osage Water is lead vocalist Lauren Gray. Recognized at just 18 as the Voice of the Spring River, Gray’s powerhouse vocals have drawn comparisons to Joss Stone, Aretha Franklin, and Etta James. Her talent gained national attention during her time on American Idol, and today she continues to captivate audiences with her soulful voice and commanding stage presence.
The band also features the talents of Wayne Clary on rhythm guitar, Lee Butler on lead guitar, Larry Coin on bass guitar, and Jim Chambers on drums. Together, they deliver a sound rooted in the heart and soul of their community, carrying forward the area’s legacy of authentic American music.
