One individual was transported by ambulance from the Sharp County Regional Airport following a plane crash.
The small, four passenger Bellanca aircraft appears to have crashed while attempting to land at approximately 4:15 p.m. March 25.
The Fulton County Sheriff’s Department, Sharp County Sherriff’s Department, Cherokee Village and Highland Police Departments as well as the Spring River Ambulance Service responded to the scene.
No names are being released at this time, and more details will be released following an investigation by the Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board.
