The Fulton County Sheriff’s Office has issued a silver alert for 75-year-old Denny Joe Smith.
Smith is described as six feet four inches tall weighing 175 pounds with blue eyes and longer gray hair.
He was last seen at a residence on Red Oak near the Nine Mile Ridge Fire Department on Oct. 28.
Smith is reported to be experiencing early stages of dementia.
According to a social media post made by the Nine Mile Ridge Fire Department Smith “Always wears a cap. He is wearing brown overalls. He is a veteran. He has his dog Bella with him. A (black) Belgian Malinois. He is in a new Polaris 4 door enclosed side by side. Sometimes wears glasses. Lives on Red Oak. Has been missing since 4 p.m. (Tuesday),” the departments post said.
The search continued throughout the night and was suspended at 4 a.m. Wednesday morning and began again at 8 a.m.
The fire department is requesting any persons interested in helping with the search check in at the Nine Mile Ridge Fire Department. They are also requesting anyone with a UTV or ATV willing to help search to please bring their equipment and come check in.
