A La Niña Watch has been issued by the Climate Prediction Center. According to the Climate Prediction Center, there is a 55% chance that La Niña develops in September with odds increasing as we head into winter. Typically when La Niña occurs, the south central US sees above normal temperatures and below normal precipitation.
